OurKidsCode is seeking to recruit experienced, independent facilitators to support our growing community of family creative coding clubs across Ireland, in partnership with local County Councils.
The OurKidsCode project is focused on developing positive attitudes to creative coding in primary school families. We do this initially by offering fun workshops where parents work with their children to complete a project with both coding and crafting elements. Families who choose to do more are offered a series of workshops designed to prepare them to start their own OurKidsCode Club, run by themselves without further in-person support. This process is championed by our facilitators who have experience of working with groups, with the eventual attitude to ‘let go’ and encourage the families to self-organise and sustain the activity.
Successful candidates will work closely with both the project team in Trinity College Dublin and our partners in the local County Council to facilitate safe, inclusive and fun workshops with families in rural community centres.
